About a year ago I was flipping through my favorite magazine (Teen Vogue) and I saw the ad for this book called The Teen Vogue Handbook that covers every nook and carry about careers in the fashion industry. Everything from designing clothing to being a beauty editor for a magazine. It goes as far to show the supplies needed for the job to interviews with people like fashion writer Robin Givhan. Designers like Marc Jacobs, Alexander Wang, and daughter of Beatles singer Paul McCartney, Stella McCarthy. Each designer tells their story of success and tips for upcoming and aspiring designers. Me personally the book showed me how the hooks and screws of the fashion world work. The "Editors" section is my favorite of course displaying fashion bloggers and magazine editor and chiefs like Anna Wintour (American Vogue). I keep this book in my purse so I take it with me every I go. Next to my cell phone it's the other thing you'll always see me with it. I read it to get both motivation and inspiration when I'm feeling discourage about my future. It's the little thing that helps keep me going in the path of fashion journalism. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves fashion and hopes to pursue a career in it.
