Gay Guys and Ripped Jeans!

So a few weeks ago I decided to ripped a pair of my jeans that I've never really worn. I only used sandpaper, a box cutter, cardboard, and scissors, to make them. I stretched them out to make "Boyfriend Jeans". My guy best friend Austin who just so happens to gay decided he wanted to borrow them. All day yesterday people just keep telling him only gay guys wear holey jeans. I started to wonder if this was actually true. I mean I've seen like grunge guys do it but ....... I thought they were cute on him but do they really make him look even more gay then his is??????

Ugg's

Here in Washington it is always cold. North Face's and Ugg Boots are a most have in any girls closet. I personally find it hard to were my brown orginal Ugg's because I'm not exactly sure what I can and can't wear with them. I usually just wear dark blue skinny jeans and a blouse or jacket. But my real question is why do guys think Ugg's boot are so ugly. I think their really cute (kinda expensive). Maybe they are kind of caveman like but there so comfy. You can throw them on and be comfy and cute at the same time without really even trying. Some people think their really ugly because the look like bear feet (that's what my brother said). But the people who don't like them probably have never worn a pair.

About Me.

Ever since I've watched "The Hills" and "The Devil Wears Prada", I've wanted to work for a major fashion magazine. I dream of working for Marie Claire, Elle, or Teen Vogue. Everyone tells me that the fashion industry is cut throat but I've always been inspired by it. Everything to old hollywood glam of the 40's, 50's, to the most amazing era of fashion in my opinion the 60's, all the way to current trends in the last issue of Vogue. Everything in fashion interests me from designing, to styling, and most of all writing. After I saw Carrie Bradshaw walk into the halls of Vogue on Sex and the City I knew Fashion journalism was my calling.

Heels to School????

I'm a sophmore in high school and ever since last year I've always noticed that people think its weird when girls wear heels to school. I think its cute when girls wear them to school. Some girls wear them with the wrong type of outfit then they look like idiots but if you do it right it comes out cute. It does add a lot of attention to you especially if everyone can tell your feet are dying but it seems that most girls who wear heels to school usually care a lot about their looks. Me personally I wish I went to the schools on 90210 or Gossip Girl, their always wearing heels and look so high fashion.

Black Nail Polish

Some might think that only goth and emo people use black nail polish but I've recently noticed in Seventeen Magazine and other fashion publications that black and red are the coolest new colors for nails. Some people might think going black is a little to grunge but i personally think that it's the pefect thing to bring a little edge to an outfit. I would recommend getting some from the your local drug store..

Thrift Store Handbangs

So down the street from my house there's this really cool thrift store. When I first moved to Tacoma I was looking for a close by place to go mid day shopping. I went in and searched the store and came across these amazing clutches and purses for less the $5 bucks. Some people might find it weird to buy used purse but I think its a great option for bargain lovers like myself. I've recently started a collect and all of them a up to date and trendy.

Note: Sometimes the used and worn look of the purse could give your outfit a vintage feel.

Faux Leather Jackets

A few weeks ago one of my best friends Mackenzie and I went to the local mall. We went to some of my favorite stores "Forever21" , "H&M", "Love Culture" and "Wet Seal". In everyone of these stores there were these adorable and affordable leather jackets. Though I am quite a baragin shopper I usually wouldn't pay $30 to $45 dollars on a jacket but since they were so cute I'm totally trying to convince my mom to buy me one. They come in a lot of different looks, colors, and styles. I'm going to buy brown and a black one.

Braided Headbands

So i don't know how to braid my hair so I recently went to the local drug store and found these really cute braided headbands. I have thicker shorter hair which makes it even harder to braid. Since its a big trend to do braids and twists in your hair I come up with alternative for girls with with thicker hair or girls who love headbands like I do. Braided hippy headbands are stylish and trendy. Its two trends in one. Some girls with more sleeker hair or thicker hair can just do the braided headband look with their actual hair.
